Tender description

Derby City Council is working on behalf of the Primary Strategy Group and the local Opportunity Area Board by seeking tenders from interested parties who have a successful track record of providing school improvement support to teachers and which results in notable gains in progress and attainment for pupils. The successful providers will work with the Council and the PSG School Improvement working group to identify 25 schools most in need of support. These schools will be invited to participate directly in the following programmes relevant to their needs: • Lot 1 - Improving outcomes for children in Key Stages 1 & 2 in Reading and Writing • Lot 2 - Improving outcomes for children in Years 1 & 2 in Phonics • Lot 3 - Improving outcomes for children in Key stages 1 & 2 in Maths 2020/21 programmes will require a particular focus upon: • Support to improve the outcomes of Year 1 and Year 5 students • Delivery through remote learning • The nature of practice that enables disadvantaged pupils to flourish (close the gap). • Effective school leadership of approaches that support targeted priority groups of learners. • Strategies that can help with family engagement. • Practice that supports learning recovery and re-engagement in education, following COVID-19 The initial contract period is 6 (six) months; the contract is estimated to commence February 2021 and expire 31st August 2021. There will be an option to extend the contracts for up to one further year until 31st August 2022, subject to satisfactory performance, Opportunity Board funding, and business needs. Maximum contract period is, therefore, one year and six months. The maximum contract value per Lot is: Lot 1 - Reading and Writing - £90,000 Lot 2 - Phonics - £45,000 Lot 3 - Maths - £45,000 Maximum potential contract value over all lots is £180,000.00 over the one year and six months. The procurement process adopted by Derby City Council is based on the 'Open' tendering procedure as detailed in the Public Contracts Regulations 2015. but with the flexibility provided by the Light Touch Regime (Regulation s74 to 77) as detailed in Public Contract Regulations 2015.
