City of York Council Health Trainers are a team that support people aged 16 or above to lead a happier, healthier life. There are many things that affect how healthy you are; these include lifestyle factors such as healthy eating, exercise, alcohol and smoking. Working within local communities, the City of York Council Health Trainers can: • provide advice and support on health issues • encourage positive lifestyle and behaviour changes • improve your health and wellbeing • reduce health inequalities Feedback from the our big conversation consultation in the city (which is ongoing) is that 47% of respondents are feeling less or a lot less healthy mentally and emotionally compared to pre pandemic and 32% feel less physically healthy. We are looking to appoint an agency to enhance existing integrated campaign materials to share via various channels to help promote the service and encourage individual/s to make an appointment.
