GB-Swindon: Portside Collection and Disposal of BAS Ship and Research Station Waste

Tender description

British Antarctic Survey (BAS) is seeking a third party waste management company to provide a waste management service for the UK collection, transport and disposal of waste generated in the Antarctic and South Georgia from i) BAS research stations and the ii) BAS vessel(s). Waste is expected to be returned to the UK by the BAS vessel(s) and offloaded at a UK port once a year. However, smaller volumes of BAS wastes may also be returned to the UK on non-BAS vessels therefore additional small waste collections may be required during the contract period. Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
