Tender description
Wirral Council’s Community Matters initiative aims to improve outcomes, resilience and the daily-lived experience of children, young people and families in Wirral, whilst reducing demand for statutory services. Phase 1 of Community Matters launched in January 2019, with a number of providers commissioned to deliver services whilst a new early help model was developed. In 2019, over 450 children, young people, parents, carers, guardians and professionals told us what a more effective and sustainable Early Help model should be like. Wirral residents were unanimous in their feedback: they don’t want traditional “services”. As we reach the end of phase 1, we would like to invite providers of Early Help Services to two events, the first event will introduce the learning from phase 1, and what we hope to achieve in phase 2, in response to this learning. The second event will be a soft market testing workshop where service providers will be invited to influence the new service design, with the aim of jointly designing an effective model of services and support for the future. Workshop 1 will take place on Wednesday 20th January at 3pm please email childrenscommissioning@wirral.gov.uk for the link to the meeting. This session will be recorded for those who cannot attend. If you would like to receive a copy of the recording please email childrenscomissioning@wirral.gov.uk. Workshop 2 will take place Friday 5th February at 1pm please email childrenscommissioning@wirral.gov.uk for the link to the meeting. We hope you can join us to hear more about the next stage of this exciting initiative. Keywords: community matters, young people, early help
