Tender description

The Bank of England has a requirement for the provision of Catering Services at 3 of its sites, London EC2R 8AH, London EC2R 6DA and Loughton IG10 3TN. Lot 1: The Bank of England has a requirement for the provision of Catering Services at 3 of its sites, London EC2R 8AH, London EC2R 6DA and Loughton IG10 3TN. The Bank agreed on 12th May and 2nd July 2020 to variations in accordance with Regulation 72(1)(c) to pay Elior financial relief related to the Covid-19 situation. The total amount agreed was £919,995 (excl. VAT) covering the period of March to September 2020 (seven months). Given fewer services were received during this period, the net change in contract value over this period is estimated to be +£190,349 (excl. VAT). This amendment to the award notice was dispatched on 30/07/2020, however, was not published due to a system error. The Bank further agreed on 23rd November 2020 to variations in accordance with Regulation 72(1)(c) to pay Elior financial relief related to the Covid-19 situation. The total amount agreed was £474,923 (excl. VAT) covering the period of October 2020 to February 2021 (five months). Given fewer services were received during this period, the net change in contract value over this period is estimated to be +£153,468 (excl. VAT). This amendment to the award notice was dispatched on 09/12/2020, however, was not published due to a system error. The value in "Section V. Award of contract" was the estimated contract value at contract signature and does not include the values above.
