<p>This is a courtesy e-mail to advise that Kent and Medway Towns Fire Authority&nbsp; (The Authority) will shortly be issuing a tender for the Provision of Working At Height Equipment And Technical Rope Equipment</p> <p>(Ref C20025).</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>The Authority requires the supply of working at height equipment and technical rope equipment, with the additional provision of ad-hoc quantities and consumable items as and when required. .The proposed Term of the contract to be awarded is for three (3) years with the option to extend for two (2) further twelve (12) month periods for a total maximum of five (5) years.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Tenderers will be given three (3) calendar weeks to review invitation to tender documentation and submit their bids. It is currently proposed to have 3 stages of tender evaluation following receipt of bids:</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Stage One &ndash; Evaluation of Pass/Fail and discretionary Questions</li> <li>Stage Two &ndash; Evaluation of Responses to Operational Requirements Document (Specification), responses to Technical Quality Questionnaire and Pricing schedules.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Tenderers will be shortlisted following Stage 2 in accordance with criteria to be set out in the invitation to tender, and requested to submit a full set of safe working at height equipment and technical rope rescue equipment for the next stage of evaluation, Stage Three &ndash; Practical User Trials Evaluation, details of which are being finalised.</p> <p>It is envisaged that Stage 3 trial will be held during a week in March at Deal Fire Station, subject to COVID Restrictions. Contract award is envisaged by the end of March 2021.
