Boyers Park Surfacing - Grass Carpeting

Tender description

Leicester Forest East Parish Council invite tenders to remove the existing grass-mat surfacing on their Boyers Play Park (located on Forest East Park) and install grass carpeting. The grass carpeting will be fitted under 14 pieces of play equipment. The areas under the individual pieces of play equipment will be dug out to a sufficient depth and timber edging will be installed to lie flush with the edges of the grass carpeting. A stone base layer will be installed to ensure adequate drainage. All precautions to protect the integrity of the site and adjoining paths, car park and properties must be taken. The public must not have access to any of the contractor's items and materials being used as part of the contract. The contractor shall safeguard the works with temporary barricading of a "Heras" type of at least 2 metres in height. The fence panels shall be constructed so that they deter climbing and will be anchored into freestanding concrete/rubber blocks, the panels locked to prevent unauthorised access. The fence to be installed before commencement of works and removed from the site following completion of all works including ground reinstatements. All waste must be removed from the site and disposed of responsibly and all relevant legislation and British Standards will be adhered to. A copy of your risk assessment, for the site, must be provided to the Clerk before commencement of works.
