Tender description

The project will involve the upgrading of a 3km upland path which leads from the existing car park to the summit of the mountain, the works aim to enhance the visitor experience and to protect against further erosion of the mountain. The path work will include: • Stone Pitched path (550m approx.) • Aggregate path with geotextile matting and geogrid (1,200m approx.) • 600m approx of Revetments • 1050m approx of light touch work • 30m approx of boardwalk • Path drainage provisions (stone water bars, stone cross drains, turved side drains) • Stone anchor bars • Deposition and treatment of excavated spoil on-site • Landscaping, peat bunds, fencing and revegetation
