Career Changers Programme

The Department is seeking a single supplier to design and deliver a career changers programme to attract and recruit experienced professionals with significant previous employment and industry experience into teaching, and support them to deliver added value in schools. The supplier will demonstrate how they can attract, recruit and support career changers to make a successful transition into teaching, deliver 'added value' from their previous careers and retain them once trained. We are seeking a supplier who can deliver a national programme to bring in those who would not normally have considered teaching, in the subjects where they are needed most. Further details will be published with the tender pack. The intention is to publish the tender opportunity in June 2021. All future information will be issued to potential providers via the DfE eTendering Portal URL: https://education.app.jaggaer.com Please note: The initial scope of each contract is for two cohorts to start training in 2022/23 (2022 cohort) and 2023/24 (2023 cohort) respectively. There is a possibility of an extension for one further cohort A Market Engagement event will take place on Tuesday 18th May 2020. Full details tbc.
