Replacement of weatherproof covering for 2 roofs. This document references Kalzip ® & Sika Decothane ®. Tenderers can submit bids for similar systems & materials for consideration. Removal of the existing build-up to structural deck/concrete. Roof area 1 for Kalzip ® aluminium standing seam installation approx. 28000m2 Roof area 2 for Sika Decothane ® liquid plastics installation approx. 1175m2 Replacement of cladding & cappings, linings, rainwater overflows & cat ladders. Contractor is responsible for all works including Adoption of existing designs for Alimaks & major scaffold structures. Removal of waste & segregation of waste. Weather sealing Provision of all labour, materials & for temporary storage of material. Coordination of all temporary works. Further design work required. Design of Kalzip system, ballasted handrail, minor access scaffolds & hoists. An industry event will be held virtually (15th June @1300 - 1530hrs GMT+1). Lot 1: Replacement of the roof weatherproof covering. Includes replacement of the roof weatherproof coverings for 2 roofs. Please note, this document references Kalzip ® and Sika Decothane ®. Removal of the existing build up (insulation/waterproofing) to structural deck / concrete. Roof area 1 for Kalzip ® aluminium standing seam installation approx. 28000m2 Roof area 2 for Sika Decothane ® liquid plastics installation approx. 1175m2 Scope includes replacement parapet cladding and cappings, gutter linings, new rainwater overflows and new cat ladders. The contractor is responsible for all works including:- Adoption of existing designs for Alimaks and major scaffold structures. Removal of all waste from the roof areas and segregation of waste. Weather sealing of all temporary and permanent penetrations. Management of works to prevent water ingress to the facilities during the works. Provision of all labour, materials and for temporary storage of material. Coordination of all temporary works including scaffolding, temporary security and emergency arrangements. Further design work to be undertake by the contractor :- Design of Kalzip system. Design of ballasted handrail system with preferred supplier (design intent provided). Design of minor access scaffolds and hoists. An industry event will be held virtually on MS Teams (15th June @1300 - 1530hrs GMT+1). An agenda and MS Teams link will be sent one week prior to the event day, 8th June 2021.
