Tender description

The construction of a pedestrian/ cycle bridge over the Dublin Belfast Railway Line, approximately 200m south of Donabate Railway Station. The proposed structure consists of a concrete bridge deck made up of precast concrete beams with a reinforced concrete top slab, sitting on in-situ concrete abutments sitting on piles founded in bedrock. The soffit of the bridge deck is to be a minimum of 6m above the railway tracks. The parapets will be formed of vertical steel posts with Kalwall (or similar approved) infill panels. A deck waterproofing system will be applied which will also form the finished surface for the bridge deck. Lighting is to be provided by using pole mounted luminaires at either end of the bridge. A drainage channel is to be installed just off the bridge deck at each end of the bridge. Some key dimensions of the bridge are as follows: Span = 28.5m Overall length = 33m Overall width = 5m Height of parapet = 1.5m – 2m
