Specialist Surveying at Tintern Abbey

Cadw has a requirement for a Specialist Survey Consultant to provide a comprehensive measured 3D colour laser scan survey of Tintern Abbey. A speculative notice is being used to obtain expressions of interest from capable suppliers. The record survey must deliver high resolution detail of the subtle textural, colour and condition characteristics of the rubble facing stones, surviving areas of render and the fine architectural ashlar masonry at Tintern Abbey, and offer a very high level of 3 dimensional accuracy for the purpose of Conservation recording. The survey must provide consistent enhanced detail and quality of coverage combining a range of the latest recording techniques for 3d laser scan/aerial photogrammetry/terrestrial photogrammetry/3d mesh modelling with colour texture/scaled ortho images.
