Provision of volunteer services for Lock Canal The specific section initially included in this contract will be the area between Helix Park and Wyndford Bridge (locks 2 to 20). The mains duty of the service be to provide volunteers to help facilitate up to 2,000 boat movements per annum. In times where there are lower numbers of boat movements, it is expected that the volunteers would help with other duties such as litter picking and light maintenance tasks such as painting. The provision of this service will allow for the safe transit of boats through the area within 4 hours of a request being made to Scottish Canals.
