Refurbishment of the AquaZone waterpark in Ireland’s National Aquatic Centre

Sport Ireland National Sports Campus is preparing a tender for the refurbishment of the AquaZone waterpark in Ireland’s National Aquatic Centre. The current water slides consist of a Master Blaster tube ride, a body slide, and a speed slide, all starting from a common platform and terminating at poolside. All water slides are contained within the confines of the building structure. It is anticipated that the replacement water slides, and the attraction mix will be determined by the Vendor based on their design experience and product range. The proposed water slides design will consist of a similar ride mix (a 1-2 person tube ride, a body slide suitable for 2-persons (adult and child), and a speed slide). Due to the site parameters and the need to retain all the slide paths within the building, it is envisaged that the rides will start and finish in the existing locations, dependent on Vendor design. Likewise, the existing support structures and water supplies/returns should be reused where possible. The information gathered in this market consultation will primarily be used to determine if the programme can be realised with the available budget. As the list of requirements will usually not have been completed at this stage, the information of the respondents could lead to adjustments in the functional and/or other requirements. Lot 213688: Refurbishment of the AquaZone waterpark in Ireland’s National Aquatic Centre The refurbishment works will consist of the following: • Design and supply of three new water slides • Removal and disposal of existing waterslides and ancillary equipment. • The Installation and commission of the three new water slides. • The enhancement of existing AquaZone attraction mix (play equipment and wave pool areas).
