Provision of Commercial Imagery and Elevation Data The contract will commence on the 1st November 2021. Please refer to the associated Contract Notice and PQQ for more information including key dates. The PQQ will close on the 8th June at 16:00. Any Potential Provider should submit their responses by this time. The Authority has a global requirement for commercial imagery (CI) and elevation data (ED) to support UK Defence planning, training and operations, and Partners Across Government (PAG). A new contract is required for purchase of CI and ED when the current contract ends on 31 Oct 2021. The current contract enables the purchase of CI with a licence that supports sharing across the FVEY community (and more widely if required). DI policy for CI and ED acquisition within MOD mandates, for security reasons (anonymity), that CI and ED searches and purchases are made via a third-party broker. The nature of the Authority's requirements dictates that such third-party brokers must be on the ‘List X’ database. The Authority is responsible for the purchase of and timely, cost efficient delivery of CI and ED for use by Defence and Other Government Departments (OGD) to support this requirement. CI and ED requirements often need to be met quickly and efficiently in order to react to time critical events. A response time of 24 hours is often necessary to service urgent requirements and is therefore a critical element requirement for the CI acquisition solution. Over the past year, CI and ED RFI timescales at the Authority demonstrate that a delay of up to three days for CI acquisition would delay the delivery of nearly 70% of all CI RFIs. Evidence shows that 35% are required within 24 hours, 35% within 72 hours, 25% within a week, and 5% are required with a deadline of over a week The Contractor will act as a broker between The Authority and CI-ED vendors and contractor expertise will provide access to and knowledge of all vendors.
