Tender description

Brunel University London is seeking a supplier for the supply and delivery of an Electrolyser. The Electrolyser will support ongoing research and development of hydrogen storage materials and hydrogen-based energy storage systems. The electrolyser will be used as part of a prototype integrated Regenerative Hydrogen Fuel Cell. The equipment will be used to optimise the integration aspect with other parts of the Regenerative Hydrogen Fuel Cell (the hydrogen storage and fuel cell modules), to reduce parasitic load and increase overall system efficiency. The electrolyser will handle dynamic operation, emulating solar PV and wind turbine energy generation profiles, to understand the effects of variable renewable energy generation as a source of electricity on the operational performance of the electrolyser, and its effect of variable hydrogen production on the effectiveness and resilience of hydrogen storage materials.
