Tender description

Dublin Bus are seeking to select a shortlist of suitably qualified providers of consultancy services to invite to tender for the production of feasibility studies in relation to Dublin Bus premises. The services will comprise of two workstreams 1. Investigate development opportunities for existing garages while retaining operational capability post development. This element of the report will review existing Dublin bus depot sites and consider suitable opportunities for development, while considering land use and efficiency as a functioning bus depot. A comprehensive understanding of Dublin Bus operational requirements will be required to develop a robust feasibility study and suitable briefings and detail will be provided to the successful tenderer. In addition, this element of the study will involve the successful tenderer meeting with various stakeholders to invite views or comment. Stakeholders include but not limited to: a. CIE Group Property b. Dublin City Council c. Department of Transport d. Land Development Agency It is expected that all existing operational locations will be open for consideration but that a shortlisting process as part of the work package will establish a maximum of two locations for the detailed feasibility studies to progress. 2. Evaluation of existing premises compared to potential new locations in terms of opportunity cost, operational costs and planned changes in the operating environment. This element of the study is to consider: a. Dublin Bus requirements b. CIE group property requirements Again, an understanding of operational requirements are key to this work package and appropriate briefings and detail will be provided to the successful tenderer. It is envisaged that both studies will require the following professional services to deliver a report, although to different levels of engagement according to the workstream: a. Economic modelling b. Project Management and delivery c. Architectural, engineering and construction
