Summary of the work Contract to allow continued development, maintenance and management of the Data Science platform for the Joint Biosecurity Centre and Test and Trace Expected Contract Length This will be discussed during the call Latest start date Friday 7 May 2021 Budget Range £10 - £15m - TBC at a later date Why the Work is Being Done Joint Biosecurity Centre and Test and Trace require support to run and evolve the Data Science component of our strategic data platform, which will form a key capability component of the new UK Health Security Agency’. Test and Trace - Data Platform Services will be hosting a supplier engagement presentation at 13:00 - 14:00 Friday 7 May 2021 Interested suppliers should e-mail Neil.Galbraith@dhsc.gov.uk and Paul.Albeza@dhsc.gov.uk from you company e-mail address to receive a login to the presentation. Maximum 2 attendees per supplier, please include the names and job titles of attendees within your initial e-mail. The agenda for the session: • Test and Trace – Presentation 40 minutes • Questions – 20 Minutes In the meantime if you have any questions, please e-mail Neil.Galbraith@dhsc.gov.uk and Paul.Albeza@dhsc.gov.uk Problem to Be Solved The requirements for the future service are to: 1) Run and maintain the DaSH Data Platform Service from an operations standpoint (e.g. Data Platform Service: Service Maintenance) 2) Develop new features, modify/enhance/retire existing ones (e.g. Data Platform Service: Service Delivery of Capability and Features) 3) Provide advisory services (e.g. Consultancy) Who Are the Users - Assessor / Product User - Data Analyst - Data Scientist - Developer and Engineer Early Market Engagement As above Work Already Done The system has been live 9 months. Existing Team This is a combined team of Joint Bio-Security Centre (JBC), Civil Servants and External Suppliers. I was wondering how the latest start date is the 7th May when the closing date for the application is the 15th May? Is this meant to be the 7th June? The 7th May date is for the Supplier Engagement Presentation (what is advertisement is referring to). This advertisement will be closed down on the 7th May and the official opportunity will be release. The purpose of the advertisement is to notify the market of the Supplier Engagement Presentation. The DOS system has mandatory fields which must be complete and the date of the 15th May was fixed. Please follow the instruction in the advertisement if you would like to attend the event.
