Tender description

Tote is currently operating at the 26 racecourses in Ireland on circa 350 race meetings a year. POS Devices will be used by Tote Ireland staff on racetracks throughout Ireland to accept payments for bets from customers on track. Tote Ireland operate a staff of mobile tellers at racedays throughout Ireland. Racecourse-based Tote betting in Ireland takes place at various racecourses during different times of the year, with the typical racecourse operating anything from 8 to 25 days in the year. Outside of these days the racecourses are typically closed for business. The terminal requirements at any individual meeting range from 10 to 350 for operator-based handheld betting terminals.
