Dynamic Purchasing System for the Provision of Tree Surgery and Woodland and Forestry Maintenance Services

Tender description

Norfolk County Council are seeking to appoint contractors to a Dynamic Purchasing System for the provision of Tree Surgery and Woodland and Forestry Maintenance Services. The requirement is divided into two Lots as follows:Lot 1 – Tree Surgery ServicesLot 2 – Woodland and Forestry Maintenance ServicesThe DPS will replace the Councils existing tree surgery framework which is due to expire on 30th June 2021. Lot 1: Tree Surgery Services Norfolk County Council, as a tree owner, has a direct responsibility to ensure that its trees do not pose a danger to the public or property and is obliged to take all reasonable care to ensure that any foreseeable hazards can be identified and made safe. The Council are seeking to appoint a number of contractors to a Dynamic Purchasing System for the provision of tree surgery services on Norfolk County Council Land. It is expected that this work will predominately involve aerial work. Additional information: The period show in II.2.7 is the initial duration of the DPS. After the initial 60 month period, the DPS will be renewed annually, subject to performance and it continuing to meet service requirements. Lot 2: Woodland and Forestry Maintenance Services The Council will be seeking to appoint a number of contractors to a Dynamic Purchasing System for the provision of woodland and forestry management services. The intention is that contractors appointed to this Lot will be required to provide woodland management tasks, particularly felling, coppicing and thinning work. It is expected that this work will predominately involve ground based work. Additional information: The period show in II.2.7 is the initial duration of the DPS.
