DN541036 Adult Mental Health Service for Early Help

Tender description

A twelve month pilot to support adults with escalating mental health problems is going to be trialled within Early Help. This is to test if an early multi-agency response is more effective than traditional pathways to mental health services. The project and associated funding would be an addition of specific Early Help Parental Mental Health resource (Psychologist, Therapist, Mental Health Social Worker) within the Step Forward Service with Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust to enable direct referral, triage, signposting of all referrals, assessment and psychosocial interventions. The Step Forward service is embedded within the Adult Integrated Care Teams (ITCs) across the Liverpool footprint. The pilot has been agreed at the Families Strategic Group partnership Board on 11th January 2020 and was placed on hold due to the pandemic response. The funding is in place for a 12 month period and will be reviewed before any extension is sought.
