<p>Bury Council is seeking a specialist in cultural strategy development to develop a vibrant, inclusive, ambitious yet sustainable plan for Bury&rsquo;s cultural economy beyond being the inaugural Greater Manchester Town of Culture, which continues in 2021. The plan will take the learning from the experience as Town of Culture to develop a culture strategy for the Borough which will:</p> <p>&bull; strengthen Bury&rsquo;s cultural product and overall economy</p> <p>&bull; outline proposals to develop a sustainable offer, including propositions on the role of the local authority in commissioning/delivering culture locally</p> <p>&bull; develop and maintain a lasting legacy for the Borough as a cultural destination</p> <p>&bull; showcase the diversity and cultures of all residents to further inclusion, including faith groups and communities of interest</p> <p>&bull; further community engagement by creating opportunities for local people to connect and get involved through art, by learning new skills and the pleasure of performance</p> <p>If you wish to express an interest in this opportunity please click on the 'Login &amp; Register Interest in this opportunity' button.
