Tender description

The London Borough of Hounslow is seeking to redevelop an area along Convent Way. The area to be re-developed (the site) is currently occupied by several multi-storey residential buildings which will be demolished and rebuilt to modern standards. The site is an elongated area approximately 600 m long and 90 m wide. The south side is in proximity with an open area formerly partially used as gravel pits and infilled. To the north the site backs on to the residential properties which line Wentworth Road. The Grand Union Canal is situated approximately 400m to the north of the site running parallel with Convent Way. Several commercial and industrial activities operate immediately to the west of the site.Due to the nature and size of the development it is likely that it will be considered as EIA Development under the Town and Country (Environmental Impact Assessment) Regulations 2017 (as amended) (the EIA Regulations) when the planning application is submitted. As such an Environmental Statement (ES) will need to be submitted to support the planning application.
