Water Provision / Asset Management System - Pre-Procurement Market Engagement

Kent Fire & Rescue Service (KFRS) will be undertaking a procurement and implementation of a new Water Provision system that meets our technical and operational requirements and our budgetary constraints. Early market research has identified several water services solutions are available as well as more general asset management solutions. Our Water Services team rely on its current system to record, schedule and manage hydrant inspections and other activity relating to water provisions. The current system was introduced in 2010, it is now end of life and supported on a best endeavours basis by the supplier and this support will be withdrawn in 2022. The current system is also sitting on an outdated platform, has limited operational functionality and is IT resource intensive. A move to a modern solution on a fully supported platform should be completed before October 2023. The scope of this project will include: • Procurement exercise to identify a suitable system and supplier. • Data migration from current system to the new solution • Review and streamline processes • Interface with other approved systems • Process for generating and sharing performance reports • Implement mobile working • Training We are undertaking this market engagement exercise to help us to understand the following information from potential suppliers: • Is your solution for the management of water services provisions currently available as a cloud hosted option? • What is the cost (indicative) of implementing your solution and for on-going support/licences/hosting (if applicable)?
