However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement. Proposals are sought by the Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC, part of UK Research and Innovation, UKRI) for the detail design, analysis and manufacture of a large vacuum vessel. The system will be built and then tested and operated at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory in Oxfordshire.
