Provision of Cereal, Crop and Agricultural Inputs Data

Tender description

1.1 The Authority is looking for suppliers for the Provision of Cereal, Crop and Agricultural Inputs Data. The project is to meet the requirements for 3 strands of data not covered by existing Defra surveys or administrative data. These statistics provide the definitive source of market information on the cereals sector in the UK and cover: 1. Information on forage / livestock numbers, market conditions and grain fed on farm for use in the UK Cereal Balance sheet. 2. Information on forage items and pulses for use in value / volume calculations for the Economic Agricultural Accounts (a statutory requirement) and the Agriculture in the United Kingdom publication and support Defra in its international reporting obligations e.g. Agricultural Market Information System (AMIS), Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (FAO). 3. Data (value and/or volume) and expert knowledge on farm inputs and outputs for the Agricultural Accounts and Farm Business Survey forecast.
