Provision of a Remotely Operated Vehicle for Cork City Fire Service

Within Cork City Fire Department we are continually aiming to modernise our work practices and equipment in order to mitigate the health and safety risks that we expose our operational fire personnel to. In light of this, and the fact that we have attended a number of high profile emergency incidents and learned from international events, we realise that Cork City Fire Department would benefit from such advancements. To achieve this we are looking to develop, with the help of a specialist supplier, a Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) to support the Fire Department to carry out some specialist activities at emergency incidents such as at fires, hazardous material incidents, removal of equipment to name a few of the areas.
