Job description: - Managing and coordinating the project work-streams at operational level. Supporting the Project Director to ensure successful delivery of key milestones to the required quality and to the timescales agreed within the project plan - Managing a single, agreed approach to project delivery as defined in the Project Initiation Document, ensuring best practice is identified, recorded and utilised across the Project - Identify, monitor and manage project risks and issues. Develop mitigating strategies and escalate as appropriate. Identify and work with related projects to manage interdependencies. - Maintain and deliver against other project controls (including planning, assumptions, decisions, change control and configuration management) - Ensure the required Project reporting is completed through the various Defra governance structures in an agreed timely manner. - Ensure effective support of the technology work-stream through an active relationship with the Project Director, responsible for IT, in order to ensure progress against plan milestones is achieved. - Ensure that the key assurance bodies are appropriately involved, and that the agreed deliverables from the Integrated Assurance and Approvals plan are met through the life cycle of the Project. - Ensure all necessary Business Change activities are defined, agreed and implemented in accordance with the Project plan
