Procurement for the Provision of Vehicle Removal Services.

Tender description

Cardiff Council (“the Council”) awarded a single contractor for a period of 1 +1 years to provide services to assist the Council in fulfilling its agreement with the Department of Vehicle Licencing Agency in a city wide scheme to enforce against Vehicle Excise Duty evasion and to supplement the Council’s current enforcement of parking contraventions under the Traffic Management Act 2004. The responsibilities of the awarded contractor includes: The capability and undertake enforcement against all types of non-compliant vehicles from every Pound and shall only remove stationary non-compliant vehicles for enforcement purposes as directed by the Council. Provide a pound within or around the Cardiff County boundary and the resource to remove all types of stationary illegally parked or untaxed vehicles (“non-compliant vehicles”). Disposal of those vehicles that are not claimed by the registered keeper, only when authorised to do so by the Council. Provide coverage throughout the County of Cardiff and deterrent in delivering the Services.
