Tender description

This award notice is to confirm that the Department for Education has awarded the Institute of Teaching (IoT) Framework Agreement to School-Led Development Trust (SLDT). The Institute will have two principle roles: • To deliver a coherent teacher development pathway at scale. The Institute will deliver ITT, the ECF, the reformed suite of NPQs and Leadership NPQs, and be the sole provider of the NLE programme - overall providing exemplary training to upwards of c10,000 trainees, teachers and leaders each year once fully established. The Institute will be tasked with innovating and exemplifying delivery of these programmes, providing a model for the rest of the system. • Support the improvement of the wider teacher development system by building the evidence base on what good teacher development looks like and developing innovative evidence-informed approaches that can be rolled out across the wider system.
