Imagine Colwyn Bay Augmented Reality Heritage Trail and Launch Event

*** This contract is now completed *** As part of a scheme of work Imagine Colwyn Bay sought to broaden access to local heritage resources and collections through the development of a range of digital immersive experiences which reclaim and retell the narrative of the town. Culminating in a celebratory event which showcased local creativity. The project vision placed heritage, culture and creativity at the heart of Colwyn Bay and it’s regeneration. The project is funded until March 21, through the National Lottery Heritage Fund, Great Place Scheme, Conwy County Borough Council, Bay of Colwyn Town Council and the Colwyn Business Improvement District. Imagine Colwyn Bay sought tenders from suitably qualified applicants to deliver the digital creative heritage element of the project. The aim was to develop an Augmented Reality heritage trail co produced by the community which engages a wider audience in learning about the areas past and raises aspirations for the future. Strengthening sense of place and belonging for local people and enhancing visitor experience.
