Generation Four Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Services Framework 2021-2025

Tender description

This Framework is for the procurement of specialist geotechnical and geoenvironmental services. See II.2.4) below for further information. Lot 1: This framework is for the procurement of specialist geotechnical and geoenvironmental services. The range of services include individual commissions of ground and geological investigations for revenue and capital construction projects covering site investigation services, boreholes and trial pits, windowless sampling and dynamic probing with associated laboratory testing, interpretation of data, assessment and reporting with recommendations and guidance as appropriate. The framework will be for a 4-year multi-supplier framework within the geographical area of Hampshire including the unitary authorities of Portsmouth and Southampton. Whilst the upper estimated OJEU threshold for the contract is GBP 5 000 000 over the 4-year life of the framework, there is no guarantee of any works being awarded. Individual works packages are generally small in value (less than GBP 50 000) although occasionally a detailed site investigation may reach GBP 100 000. The framework shall be priced using a schedule of rates, with the ability for suppliers to price items not covered by the schedule as part of the tender for individual call-off contracts. The NEC4 framework contract will be used for the over-arching conditions, with call off contracts using the NEC4 Professional Services Short Contract (PSSC). All call-off contracts shall be awarded through a standard mini-competition process. The Generation 4 Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Framework 2021-2025 is being procured by the authority for its own use, but other authorities may engage through the sold service initiatives. Such commissions have been very occasionally used and it is not proposed to allow direct access to other authorities.
