Tender description

This RFT document relates to ‘Fire Alarm & Gas Detection System Tender 2020’. The works would be mainly in relation to service / maintenance works and minor system retrofit works. The work involves the service, maintenance and certification of multiple detection systems as would be expected on a large campus including the following electrical digital and analogue systems; Fire Alarm, Gas Detection, boiler house gas detection, smoke vents etc. The intention is to make the appointment for an initial period of 2 year with provision for a maximum of two 1 year extensions depending on work performance and available funding. Whilst every effort has been made to provide comprehensive and accurate background information, requirements and specifications, Tenderers must form their own conclusions about the solution needed to meet the requirements set out in this RFT. Tenderers and recipients of this RFT may wish to consult their own legal advisers in relation to this RFT or the subject matter thereof. All information supplied by Tenderers may be treated as contractually binding on the Tenderers if accepted by the Institute. No commitment of any kind, contractual or otherwise shall exist unless and until a formal written contract has been executed by or on behalf of the Institute. Any notification of preferred bidder status by the Institute shall not give rise to any enforceable rights by the Tenderer. The Institute may cancel this public procurement competition at any time prior to a formal written contract being executed by or on behalf of the Institute. The Institute does not bind itself to accept the lowest price or any Tender.
