Body Movement, Coroner Transfer and Public Health Funerals on the Isle of Wight

<p>The Isle of Wight Council (&ldquo;the Authority&rdquo;) invites Tenders from suitably qualified suppliers (&ldquo;Potential Suppliers&rdquo;) for the provision of Body Movement, Coroner Transfers and Public Health Funerals. The Contract is divided into Lots and each Lot shall serve a set geographical area as follows: Lot 1 - Body Movement &ndash; Newport and Cowes - Body Movement Service to be provided within the specific locality on the Isle of Wight - PO30 and PO31 except PO30 4-- Lot 2 - Body Movement &ndash; Ryde, Wootton &amp; East Cowes - Body Movement Service to be provided within the specific locality on the Isle of Wight PO32 and PO33 except PO33 1-- Lot 3 - Body Movement &ndash; St Helens, Bembridge, Seaview &amp; Brading Body Movement Service to be provided within the specific locality on the Isle of Wight PO33 1--, PO34, PO35 and PO36 0-- Lot 4 - Body Movement - Sandown, Shanklin &amp; Ventnor Body Movement Service to be provided within the specific locality on the Isle of Wight PO37, PO38 and PO36 except PO36 0-- Lot 5 - Body Movement &ndash; Brighstone, Freshwater &amp; YarmouthBody Movement Service to be provided within the specific locality on the Isle of Wight PO39, PO40, PO41 and PO30 4-- Lot 6 - Body Movement - Isle of Wight Body Movement Service to be provided within the Isle of Wight - All postcodes Lot 7 - Coroner Transfers Coroner Transfer Service to be provided within the Isle of Wight to and from Mainland Britain - All postcodes Lot 8 - Public Health Funerals Public Health Funeral Service to be provided within the Isle of Wight The term of the contract shall be 01 June 2021 until 31 May 2024 with the option to extend for up to a further one year at the sole discretion of the Authority. Potential suppliers are invited to submit tenders for one or more Lots. Potential suppliers could be successful in one or more Lots. It is envisaged that one supplier will be appointed for each of Lots 1-5, 7 and 8. Lot 6 will be used in the event that it is more economically advantageous for the Authority to appoint a single supplier for Body Movement or in the event that any Lot in Lots 1-5 receives no compliant bids and a supplier cannot be appointed. For the avoidance of doubt, if Lot 6 is awarded, Lots 1-5 will not be utilised.
