Tender description

The Berkeley Lights Platform is a fully integrated, end-to-end solution, comprised of unique consumables, including OptoSelect chips and reagent kits, advanced automation systems and advanced application and workflow software. The Berkeley Lights Platform is the only technology which allows deterministic isolation, culturing, functional characterization, and export of live single cells on a microfluidic chip. The system is compatible with both mammalian and non-mammalian cells. This is a one-of-a-kind system. Lot 1: Under Regulation Reg 33(1)(b)(ii) of the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015, a contracting authority may use the negotiated procedure without the prior publication in the case of a public contract, based on the following justification: Competition is absent for technical reasons (only if it is not caused by artificial narrowing down of the parameters of the procurement and no reasonable alternative or substitute exists).
