Award of ATMOSPHERIC MODELLING DATA FOR SCOTTISH NITROGEN BALANCE SHEET

Tender description

The Scottish Government requires provision of model output data in relation to atmospheric nitrogen flows to/from Scotland (based on source attribution data). In particular, we require new data that quantifies key atmospheric nitrogen inputs/exports to/from Scotland through deposition to/from other parts of the UK and internationally. The data should be as up to date (close to the present day) as is possible. The dataset needs to distinguish nitrogen inputs by pollutant types (including; oxides of nitrogen, mainly from combustion emissions; ammonia, mainly from agricultural emission sources). It should also enable distinction of key emission source sectors such as agriculture, transport etc. where possible (insofar as such sectors are distinguished in the underlying source attribution modelling).
