Tender description

The scope of work for the Life Safety Systems Electrical Upgrade summer works project includes as follows:- a) Tracing, isolation, removal and disposal of the redundant services to a licenced waste facility b) Provision of supplementary cable containment systems as required to fully contain all new wiring and cabling systems – existing containment to be retained and re-used where feasible c) Upgrade the existing Distribution Boards throughout the campus to provide new Emergency Lighting Central Test Facilities in accordance with the current standards, and new dedicated power supplies for the Fire Alarm System and Door Hold Open Devices. d) Replacement of all external lighting with new LED bulkheads and floodlights e) New self-contained emergency lighting system throughout the school to current IS 3217 standard. f) New L3 Fire Detection & Alarm System throughout the school to current IS3218 standard g) All associated alterations to the existing electrical services installations h) Testing & commissioning and certification of the upgraded Life Safety Systems and associated electrical installations i) Trenching and laying ducting between all buildings on the school campus j) All associated builders works, opening up, making good fire proofing and re-decoration to match existing finishes k) Full contract clean of the entire school buildings immediately prior to handover l) Maintenance of the new installations for the defects liability period (12 months) The appointed contractor shall supply all labour, materials, equipment and engineering services, and perform all works necessary to install the complete, tested, commissioned, and operational Life Safety Systems and Electrical systems in accordance with the Specification and Drawings.
