Tender description

Following a Meet the Buyer's Webinar in December 2020, a further Meet the Buyer's Webinar event has been scheduled for the Public Health Pharmacy Light Tough Pseudo-Dynamic Purchasing System (PDPS). The Council would like to share the upcoming plans for the Council's Public Health Pharmacy Services procurement with providers as well as details on how to register to the Council's e-tendering portal, Oracle Fusion. It is intended the service will be procured this financial year with a contract start date of 1 October 2021 (pending political approval). This is not an invitation to tender. Newham Council has developed its Health and Wellbeing Strategy and the 50 steps (2020-2023) and is looking to implement the core part of its strategic vision through experienced service providers. Newham council is intending to offer both core and specialist services, with the intention that the Public Health Pharmacy PDPS will offer the following services to residents: - Sexual Health (condoms and STI screening for 15-24 year olds) - Smoking Cessation - Needle Exchange and Naloxone - Supervised Consumption These services intend to contribute towards: • The Council's 'Towards a Better Newham' Covid-19 Recovery Strategy • Public Health Outcomes Framework (PHOF) indicators related to sexual health, smoking cessation and substance misuse. • Newham's 50 Steps to a Healthier Borough: Health and Wellbeing Strategy 2020-2023 We are inviting community pharmacy providers who are able to deliver services across the borough's neighbourhood wards to attend this Meet the Buyer's Event. Service Commissioners will provide a webinar to update the market about the strategic vision for this procurement. The Procurement Team will also inform providers as to how to register for the e-tendering portal, Oracle Fusion. Details of organisations attending the Events will be shared with everyone attending as well as published with Invitation to Tender documents. Organisations will also be given the opportunity to ask commissioners any questions.
