Tender description

MGS invites tenders for the summative evaluation of Forum Connections. This project is funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF), and due to run from 2020 over a four-year period. Forum Connections will establish the potential of geographic museum forums to support museums across Scotland to adapt and thrive in challenging times, in order to safeguard the opportunities they provide for people to be involved with heritage. There are currently 12 geographic forums with an average membership of 15 organisations. Recent MGS-supported partnership projects have demonstrated a clear opportunity to pool resources and share expertise to help redress shortfalls created by funding cuts. It has become evident, however, that forums require a short-term capacity boost to fully embed collaborative working into their operating models.
