Tender description

Bord na Móna are seeking suitable contractors for tree felling and site clearance works required for the proposed Derryadd Wind Farm. The proposed wind farm contains twenty-four turbines stretching across three peatland sites in County Longford. Bord na Móna have made an application to Department of Agriculture, Farm and Marine for a tree felling licence and works will be initiated once a licence has been obtained, any works shall be conducted in accordance with conditions thereof. The works primarily consist of the felling and removal of trees and the clearance of scrub and vegetation to facilitate the development of the proposed wind farm. The works will be located at the site entrances, internal roads, hardstands, turbine locations and other ancillary infrastructure as outlined within the tender specification which will be issued to successful contractors post Pre-Qualification stage.
