Met Éireann are seeking to resource an experienced ICT Implementation Specialist to assist with the transitioning to a Managed Service Partner (MSP). It is envisaged that the successful candidate will work with the IMaMS Project Manager, Technology Division Service Manager, Technology Division team and the project team in order to assist with the planning and implementation of the transition to the new service delivery model. The ICT Implementation Specialist will focus on assisting with the transitioning to a Managed Service Partner (MSP). The IMaMS project will introduce major change, therefore the ICT Implementation Specialist experience will be mostly required during the the transistion stage while on-boarding the successful MSP. Met Éireann will draw on the ICT Implementation Specialists knowledge and experience of previous projects of similar size and scale. Met Éireann have no outgoing single encumbant deliverying it’s ICT services therefore experience in a similar environment and implementation is a key requirement. The ICT Implementation Specialist is expected to engage with Technology division staff and the managed service partner during the onboarding phase to ensure a smooth transition to the new MSP for the delivery of core infastructure and managed services. The deliverables below will result in important knowledge transfer in Technology Division in on-boarding and managing an MSP and ensure problem areas are addressed quickly and confidently resulting in a smooth transition. In this regard, the successful applicant will have excellent communication and organisational skills, have strong program/project management experience, have a strong technical background, be able to work effectively within a team and in accordance with strict deadlines.
