This is a Prior Information Notice (PIN) and not a call for competition, in advance of the procurement of a multi-supplier framework agreement for the supply of Medical Examination Gloves and Surgical Gloves. The scope of requirements are for both sterile and non-sterile gloves and includes but is not limited to, the following types: — nitrile examination gloves, — vinyl examination gloves, — latex examination gloves, — sterile examination gloves, — accelerator Free, — chemotherapy tested, — other specialist medical gloves, — latex surgical gloves, — synthetic surgical gloves. Medical gloves must comply with the European Standard EN 455 Parts 1 to 4: 2000 to 2009 Medical Gloves for single use or equivalent. Lot 1: Medical Examination Gloves The scope of Lot One comprises, but is not limited to, single use medical examination gloves of the following types which should be available in a range of sizes: — nitrile examination gloves, — vinyl examination gloves, — latex examination gloves, — sterile examination gloves, — accelerator free examination gloves, — chemical/cytotoxic tested examination gloves, — long/extended cuff examination gloves. Medical gloves must comply with the European Standard EN 455 Parts 1 to 4: 2000 to 2009 Medical Gloves for single use or equivalent. Lot 2: Surgical Gloves The scope of Lot Two comprises, but is not limited to, latex and synthetic surgical sterile gloves of the following types which should be available in a range of sizes: — surgical undergloves, — surgical overgloves, — extra sensitive surgical gloves, — textured surgical gloves, — tear/puncture indication surgical gloves, — coated surgical gloves. Medical gloves must comply with the European Standard EN 455 Parts 1 to 4: 2000 to 2009 Medical Gloves for single use or equivalent. Lot 3: Nitrile Non-Sterile 6 Newton Medical Examination Gloves The scope of Lot Three comprises Nitrile Non-Sterile 6 Newton Medical Examination Gloves. These gloves should be latex free and available in extra small, small, medium, large and extra large sizes. Medical gloves must comply with the European Standard EN 455 Parts 1 to 4: 2000 to 2009 Medical Gloves for single use or equivalent.
