Tender description
<strong>Tameside Council would like to identify a contractor to visit parks and cemeteries throughout Tameside and lock the gates.</strong> The company will be expected to: • Visit each site and ensure that all pedestrians and vehicles have left the site. • Then lock each gate at dusk. • Unlock each gate at dawn. • Dukinfield Crematorium - Open and lock the Book of Remembrance Lodge (turning alarm on & off the building) and public toilets every weekend and every Bank Holiday. Turning the page in the Remembrance Book to ensure the correct date is displayed. Also, to open and lock the car park at Dukinfield Crematorium every weekend and Bank Holiday. There will be 10 sites to be locked and a total of 24 gates across those sites. <strong>The opening and closing times are to be agreed with the Council and will vary throughout the year and for parks will typically be: </strong> January: closure at 1630 Febuary – March: closure at 1830 April – August: closure at 2100 September – October: closure at 1830 November – December: closure at 1630 <strong>All sites to be opened approximately 0600 throughout the year. </strong> • Stamford Park – 7 gates • Victoria Park – 4 gates • Hyde Park – 3 gates Cemeteries opening and closing are : October – March Closed at 5pm and not before April – September Closed at 7pm and not before All to be opened by 8am at the latest Cemeteries included are: • Audenshaw Cemetery • Ashton (Hurst) Cemetery • Denton Cemetery • Droylsden Cemetery • Dukinfield Crematorium (Weekend and Bank Holidays only) • Hyde Cemetery • Mossley Cemetery The Council may at times wish to increase the number of sites it locks due to emerging issues such as anti social behaviour and a cost will need to be included for additional locking on a per site/per gate basis.
