CONTRACT FOR THE PROVISION OF BANKING SERVICES TO HORSE RACING IRELAND AND SUBSIDIARIES

Horse Racing Ireland (HRI) was established by the Irish Government under the Horse and Greyhound Racing Act 2001 and the Irish Horseracing Industry Act 1994. It is a commercial semi-state body that is responsible for the administration, promotion and development of Horse Racing in Ireland. HRI subsidiaries include Irish Thoroughbred Marketing Ltd (ITM), Tote Ireland Ltd and HRI Racecourse Division consisting of Leopardstown Racecourse, Fairyhouse Racecourse, Navan Racecourse, Tipperary Racecourse and Leopardstown Golf Centre. HRI Headquarters are located in Ballymany, Newbridge, Co Kildare. Horse Racing Ireland’s main aim for this tender is: - A reduction in the cost of transactional banking processes through the minimisation of fees and charges. - A secure, reliable and efficient service with documented and measurable performance criteria - To acquire value added banking services. - To provide for a modern and future proof way of banking Although tendering for the provision of banking services, Horse Racing Ireland reserves the following: - The right to invest cash with other institutions as it sees fit; - The right to avail of loan facilities from other institutions as it sees fit. The successful tenderer will be providing retail banking services to Horse Racing Ireland which includes its subsidiaries Tote Ireland Ltd, Irish Thoroughbred Marketing Ltd along with the HRI Racecourse Division with a proviso that additional subsidiaries or associates may be added to the package at some point in the future.
