UKRI-1387 Town Planning Adviser for RAL

Tender description

The Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC, part of UK Research and Innovation) is seeking to appoint a firm to act as a town planning adviser for its Rutherford Appleton Laboratory (RAL) site, near Didcot, Oxfordshire. Lot 1: The appointed firm would be expected to contribute to the following areas: Monitoring: monitoring local planning applications; monitoring the local planning gain environment; monitoring the development of local planning policy. Feasibility: providing advice on the likely town planning implications of development options at RAL and formulate appropriate strategies and actions; engage in regular optioneering workshops where we consider different site development options and possible town planning implications. Understanding the Joint Venture: to understand the aspirations of the Joint Venture Partner and brief STFC on any town planning implications. Strategy: understand the strategic site aspirations at RAL and suggest proactive and innovative ways to enable those aspirations to happen; to advise on the development of masterplans. Planning applications: provide the full range of town planning services to enable RAL to obtain successful planning consents for projects.
