Tender description

The funding of Local Authority Major Schemes represents a substantial investment for government. Evaluating the investment in local major funding streams can deliver the following objectives: - Provide accountability for the investment - Evidence future spending decisions - Learn about which schemes deliver cost-effective transport solutions - Enhance the operational effectiveness of existing schemes or future schemes, and - Improve future initiatives based on learning. This project will provide an evidence base of the impact of schemes delivered under the Local Growth Fund (LGF), Large Local Major (LLM) and Major Road Network (MRN) programmes and whether the investments have provided value for money and achieved their stated objectives. It will use this evidence base to provide updated guidance on scheme monitoring and evaluation to ensure that greater value from these assessments is obtained.
