The 'Kerry Food Hub' is a not-for-profit community project located in Firies, Co Kerry. Managed strategically by a board of social entrepreneurs, the Hub's overall aim is to enhance employment opportunities in the region and make the community it serves a 'better place to live.' The Kerry Food Hub's purpose-built food production facilities provide start-up entrepreneurs and small but growth-oriented food businesses the opportunity to expand and develop at a rate that would be far more difficult to achieve without easy access to a dedicated and high-quality food-production unit. Firies Business Hub DAC (Owners) were successful in securing REDF Call3 funding. The Kerry Food Hub 02 project is a two-part project, expansion to physical infrastructure and an online multi-vendor B2B marketplace Artisanmarket.ie - facilitating business between the Artisan food producers and the hospitality buyers. The Kerry Food Hub seeks suitable individuals/organisations to develop, deliver and guide them through the B2B eCommerce Artisan Marketplace platform launch and scale development phases.
