Tender description
The contract is for essential maintenance work, lantern replacement, the provision of a detailed report on the condition of each of the existing High Mast Lights located at: - Clyde Tunnel, Balshagray Approach (Glasgow) - Anniesland Cross (Glasgow) - Townhead Interchange (M8 Junction 15) - Queensland Drive near Fifty Pitches Road (Glasgow) The scope of services is as follows: (a) Clyde Tunnel Balshagray Approach (Glasgow) comprising of 17 No. 30 metre masts each supporting 6 to 8 No. 400W Son-T GEC Luminaires. The High Mast locations are detailed on drawing no. HM/Balsh/01, High Mast references HM333 to HM349 inclusive. (b) Anniesland Cross (Glasgow) comprising of 14 No. 18 Metre masts each supporting either 3 or 4 No.400W Son-T Phosco Luminaires. The High Mast locations are detailed on drawing no. HM/AnnX/01, references HM364 to HM377 inclusive. (c) Townhead Interchange (M8 Junction 15) comprising of 3 No. 30 metre masts each supporting 6 No. 400W Son-T Phosco Luminaires. The High Mast locations are detailed on drawing no. HM/Town/01, references HM202, HM351 and HM355 inclusive. (d) Queensland Drive near Fifty Pitches Road (Glasgow) comprising of 1 No. 30 metre mast supporting 6 No. 400W Son-T Phosco Luminaires. The High Mast location is detailed on drawing no. HM/Queen/01 reference HM378 inclusive. Provide all necessary labour, plant and supervision to conduct Type 1 & 2 Maintenance and provide certification upon completion on 35 No. high masts detailed within the Institution of Lighting Professionals PLG 07 High Mast for Lighting 2013 guidance document - Chapter 7, Inspection, Testing and Maintenance. Replace existing lanterns with LED luminaires. GCC will supply LED luminaires (non-flexed). All activities may require the use of a MEWP. Road Closures and Traffic Diversions will be arranged by the employer for works at Clyde Tunnel Northern Approach and Townhead Interchange. Traffic management and control in the immediate work area will be the responsibility of the Contractor. The works at the Clyde Tunnel Northern Approach and Townhead Interchange are proposed to be carried out in phases, comprising groups of masts, over four consecutive days to enable the necessary Traffic Control and Road Closures to be put in place, where necessary. The grouping of masts for Clyde Tunnel Northern Approach is indicated on drawing no. HM/Balsh/01. On completion of the works, the successful contractor will issue a condition report on each high mast unit to the Project Manager
