The preparation of a Planning and Market Constraints Appraisal for a farm site, to assess its potential for development in the long term and to assist North Yorkshire County Council in its discussions with the Local Planning Authority. The Appraisal would involve the following key tasks: • Review of local context and site constraints and opportunities (no technical survey work involved at this stage); • Assessment of planning policy and constraints; • Review of local employment and housing land supply from a planning policy/evidence base perspective; • Consideration of potential uses for all (or part of) the site informed by planning assessment and market knowledge; • A roadmap to take forward the site for development, identifying key stages both from a planning and market/delivery perspective; • Engagement with an adjoining owner.
