Tender description

The National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) is seeking to procure expert scientific/technical services for a project focused on monitoring three Annex grassland types (6210, 6410, 6510) for Habitats Directive Article 17 reporting. The work will involve survey, mapping and assessment of areas of these habitats across Ireland, as well as trialling methodology changes, and trialling the use of drones for monitoring. The contract will run from early 2021 to October 2023. In addition, extra work may take place at some sites to feed into the EPA-run ‘National Ecosystems Monitoring Network’, which is focused on emissions monitoring. Some additional requirements are involved, and details are provided – see RfT document for full requirements and specification.
